Stiel says that he weakened this beast already, but the health of it is still the same whether you fight it alone or both of them together. To avoid battling the two at the same time, talk to Stiel before hand. Of course, you won't get the same amount of experience as you would with two, but you also won't be slaughtered if you're a lower level. Then again, maybe you're up for the challenge?
Earth-based attacks are a good idea considering the attribute for the creature is wind. Also note that this means Kazan will be the weakest against the creature at the same time.
You'll find that the attacks of Zahatule are related to the other Vultures you've run into up to this far. So beware of the attacks, along with the attack called Inferno.
