The Shade Flare is similar to its previous form, the Blaze Wheel. However, the Shade Flare has a new special attack called Fate's Choice. Your goal is to try and land on something that will do the least harm to your party member. None of the symbols are mentioned here on this page, but it should be noted that the sword with a red X will make the party member use Arts only (so that might not be a bad one to land on).
